Dr. Ungku Mohd Shahrin Bin Ungku Mohd Zaman is a pioneer in aesthetic medicine in Malaysia, with a career spanning over two decades. He earned his medical degree from the University of Indonesia in 1996 and began specializing in aesthetic treatments in 2003. He has received advanced training in aesthetic medicine across the USA, Italy, Bulgaria, France, and Korea and is a board-certified aesthetic medical practitioner recognized by Malaysia’s Ministry of Health.
Dr. Ungku Shahrin is a Fellow of the American Academy of Restorative and Aesthetic Medicine (AARAM) and serves as the President of the Malaysia Registered Aesthetic Medical Practitioners Society (PDEBM). In 2003, he founded the Laserlipolisis & Mediceuticel Clinic, one of Malaysia’s leading aesthetic medical clinics. He also established the Medical Aesthetic Certification (MAC) program, offering structured training for general practitioners entering the field of aesthetic medicine.
In 2018, Dr. Ungku Shahrin was the Organizing Chairman of Malaysia’s first International Medical Aesthetic Conference and Exhibition (IMACE). He further expanded his contributions to the field by founding the Ungku Shahrin Medical Aesthetic Research & Innovation (USMARI) Centre in 2020, focusing on research in aesthetic, pharmaceutical, and regenerative medicine. His extensive experience and leadership have made him a prominent figure in Malaysia’s aesthetic medicine landscape.
